Michael Dougherty is a Little Rock, Ark., writer, editor and publisher who loves baseball, politics, and the blues.

He has three adult children: his daughters are Austin, Texas, residents; his son lives in Seattle.


Mike is president and co-founder of Big Inning Books, a personal publisher based in Little Rock. He edited and published the autobiographical self-help relationship book, “You Should’ve Bought the Mink Coat,” by Carol Anne Cullum, a Little Rock life and relationship coach.

He is writing two books — a novel and a baseball fan memoir — of his own.


He has been a member of the Society of American Baseball Research, Robinson-Kell Chapter, since 2005.

Mike and his wife, Nancy, were members of First Presbyterian Church in the downtown Argenta section of North Little Rock, Ark.
